Trump wants to un-birthright your baby like it’s an expired coupon

Imagine giving birth and the government hits you with “yeahhh, we’re gonna need to check if that baby counts.”

Trump is threatening an executive order to end birthright citizenship — the whole “born here = citizen” thing that’s been the rule since the 14th Amendment, aka the post–Civil War “we’re done doing slavery math on humans” patch.

And immigrant families are hearing it the way it lands: “My kid is now a political debate.” Not a person. A campaign prop with cheeks.

People are talking about moving up delivery dates, changing doctors, leaving the U.S., or just bracing for a paperwork knife fight with federal agencies that can’t even keep track of their own email servers. This isn’t “border security.” This is using babies as a bargaining chip in a power struggle between politicians who want applause and lawyers who want billable hours.

Meanwhile, the ACLU is basically screaming “this is unconstitutional,” because it is, and also because someone has to be the adult when Congress is busy shadowboxing and fundraising off your anxiety.
