A “boy in a blue bunny hat” got detained while masked federal agents allegedly ran around doing arrests without warrants, and somehow we’re still pretending this is just spicy content for CNN.

Democrats are going nuclear over reports of masked agents grabbing people in public, separating mothers from babies, and detaining kids — like we’re speedrunning a dystopia but with worse uniforms. They’re calling it “law enforcement theater” that’s getting people killed, which is a hell of a phrase until you remember: theater is when everyone claps at the end, not when families get turned into paperwork.

The official vibe is always “targeted enforcement” and “public safety.”

If even a fraction of these accounts are true, this isn’t a partisan food fight. This is the government testing how much you’ll tolerate when the agents are anonymous, the rules are optional, and the collateral damage has a bedtime.

Meanwhile, the incentives are disgusting and obvious. Politicians get to look “tough,” agencies get bigger budgets, and cable news gets B-roll of tactical cosplay. Nobody in power loses anything when it’s your neighbor getting scooped up, because the point of bureaucracy is that responsibility evaporates on contact.

And don’t get comfortable thinking it’s “just immigrants” or “just criminals” or “just somebody else.” Warrantless anything doesn’t stay in its lane. It spreads, like mold, because it works.
