500 million views and the hottest genre on TikTok is apparently “I built a wife who can’t leave.”

The #AIWifeChallenge has dudes generating submissive “dream wives” with AI tools and posting the results like it’s an unboxing video for emotional control. A bunch of the viral clips shove women straight into 1950s cosplay: cooking, cleaning, smiling through the void, existing exclusively as a reward for having Wi‑Fi.

And yes, critics are calling it “digital red-pilling,” which is a fancy way of saying: the algorithm found a new way to sell insecurity back to men as “masculinity,” and everyone else gets to inhale the fumes.

Politicians are hopping in too, because nothing makes a senator feel alive like yelling about sex and technology instead of insider trading. The platform fight is now a proxy war: gender politics + AI culture + attention economics, all in one cursed parfait.

TikTok will do the usual “we’re reviewing content” throat-clearing.
