Nvidia Might Team Up With Groq and Make AI Cheap Enough to Ruin You

One Nvidia deal rumor and suddenly the future is “AI everywhere” — the same way glitter is “everywhere” after one craft project: permanent, invasive, and in your bed.

Word on the internet is Nvidia might link up with Groq to turbocharge AI inference — the unsexy part where the model actually answers users instead of just looking gorgeous in a demo.

Training is the fireworks show. Inference is the utility bill that shows up every month and quietly owns you.

If Nvidia (the chip kingpin) and Groq (the “we made inference fast as hell” upstart) play nice, they’re basically trying to make AI responses cheaper, faster, and more scalable. Which sounds cute until you realize “cheaper inference” is how every app turns into a 24/7 robot intern with zero labor laws.

Also, inference is where the platform wars get bloody. Whoever controls the runtime stack gets to tax everyone building on top of it — startups, enterprises, your cousin’s “AI assistant for dentists,” all of them paying tribute like it’s medieval Europe but with GPUs.
