RFK Jr. Made Republicans Ask for Regulation Like It’s 2008 Again

Republicans are telling POLITICO they want more regulation of Big Food and Big Pharma.

That’s like a cat asking for a bath. That’s like Ticketmaster saying “actually, maybe too many fees.” Something snapped.

According to a POLITICO poll, a majority of Americans now want stricter rules on food and drug companies, and the funniest part is the GOP—historically allergic to regulation unless it’s about bedrooms—has a big chunk of the “yeah maybe we should supervise the pill people” energy.

RFK Jr. didn’t pass a law. He didn’t even need to. He just did what every conspiracy uncle does at Thanksgiving: he made the vibes rancid. POLITICO says he “turned corporate America’s name to mud.”

Meanwhile, the lobbying world is sweating through its Brioni suits because their whole business model is: 1) convince you regulation is communism, 2) quietly write the regulations anyway, 3) make sure only the biggest companies can afford to comply.

If this shifts policy, Big Food and Big Pharma will do the same thing they always do—smile for the cameras, cry in private, then raise prices because accountability is apparently an optional add-on like heated seats.

And you? You’re paying either way: at the pharmacy counter, in the grocery aisle, or later when the bill shows up as a “surprise” diagnosis.
