Palantir just got $30M to build ICE a raid app with AI vibes

$30 million just got handed to Palantir to build something called “ImmigrationOS,” which sounds like an iPhone update but is allegedly for raids, tracking, and turning human beings into push notifications.

Yep. “OS.” Because nothing says “civil liberties” like branding deportation logistics the way Apple brands new emojis.

The deal is with ICE, and the reporting says this platform would support enforcement operations and even monitor federal employees. Like, not only are they watching you — they’re watching the people watching you. It’s surveillance recursion. A snake eating its own warrant.

Palantir’s whole business model is selling “data-driven decision-making” to governments with a credit card and a conscience problem.

Critics are calling it an “unprecedented surveillance nightmare,” which is a dramatic phrase, but also… what do you call it when AI helps map communities, flag targets, and optimize raids like it’s an Amazon warehouse route?

Instead, we’re buying a shiny new dashboard for the same old cruelty, with a Silicon Valley sheen and a government logo.
