Campbell exec got hot-mic’d calling his own soup unhealthy

“I don’t buy products barely anymore. It’s unhealthy.”

That’s a Campbell executive, Martin Baly, allegedly caught on a hot mic dragging the very slop he’s paid to sell you. Imagine working at Nike and being like “yeah I don’t wear shoes, they’re a scam.”

According to footage floating around (shoutout to YouTube’s "Company Lot" for doing journalism with the energy of a gas station parking lot), Baly wasn’t just clowning the products — he allegedly went after employees too, plus racist remarks that are about as “brand safe” as lighting a bowl of tomato soup on fire in the break room.

Campbell has him “on leave.”

And let’s not pretend this is just one guy having an unhinged day. This is what happens when companies run on PowerPoints and vibes: the people at the top stop believing their own marketing, but they keep feeding it to you because it still prints money.

Meanwhile, you’re paying more for groceries, getting smaller cans, and the exec class is privately doing the same thing you’re doing — avoiding the processed stuff — except they get paid millions to pretend it’s dinner.

If the alleged racist comments hold up, that part isn’t “oops, hot mic,” that’s “oops, we promoted the wrong guy and now it’s public.” Different problem. Same rot.
